Simferopol's V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University is a higher education institution. It is one of the Russian Federation's ten federal universities. The history of the University may be traced back to the founding of Taurida University, the first institution of higher education in Crimea, which was founded in 1918 on the initiative of Solomon Krym.
In May 1918, lectures began in the Departments of Physics and Mathematics, as well as Medicine, both of which were situated in Yalta. All five University departments – History and Philology, Physics and Mathematics, Law, Medicine, and Agronomy – were transferred to Simferopol by the autumn of 1918.

STEP 3: VISA
After receiving an invitation letter from Crimean Federal University, students should contact the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate (depending on university country) in their home country.

- Original passport (valid for 2 years minimum)

STEP 4: ARRIVAL
After receiving a visa from an Embassy or Consulate, students must notify us of their travel details, including day and time of arrival.
At the airport, one of our representatives will meet the student..
If a student fails to notify us of his or her arrival, the Russian Immigration Authorities will deport him or her back to Russia.
STEP 5: ADMISSION AND START OF CLASSES
Every student should provide original, complete papers as well as proof of full first-year expenditures or a payment receipt for full first-year expenses paid.
Every student must register at a university within three working days of arriving on Russian Federation territory.
After arriving in Russia, students must submit all required papers and first-year fees to the International Department, as stated on the Admission Confirmation Letter. The International Relations office staff will finish the admission and registration processes in 1-3 working days and then enable you to begin lessons.
The visa will be extended by the International Office as well as the Home Office.
