Modern Nur-Sultan is a planned city, similar to other planned capitals. The city's form altered considerably once it became Kazakhstan's capital. Kisho Kurokawa, a Japanese architect, devised the city's master plan.
Nur-Sultan serves as Kazakhstan's government seat, housing the Parliament House, the Supreme Court, the Ak Orda Presidential Palace, and various government offices and institutions. It is home to a variety of futuristic structures, including several skyscrapers.

Why is Kazakhstan becoming so popular among Indian medical students?
Without a doubt, Kazakhstan has become a lifeline for Indian medical students who cannot get into government colleges through the NEET Marks and do not have the financial means to enrol in private medical colleges with large capitation fees.
Every year, around 17 lakh medical students take the NEET-UG entrance exam, competing for less than 1 lakhs Medical seats .
Imagine 8 lakh candidates qualify in NEET exam and all seats are given to the top ranker who scored above 650 .
The NEET-UG 2022 cut off was 138 for general and 108 for reserved categories, however they would not be able to enrol in government colleges.
Some of the best students are admitted to any government medical college in India (approx 50,000 seats are in government colleges and the rest 50,000 are in private medical colleges).
Some students who can afford to pay high tuition fees and donations (ranging from 70 lakh to 1 crore) join in private universities.
Have you ever considered what the other NEET qualified students do?
Every year, around 1-1.5 lakh people select the MBBS abroad option. Now, there are many nations that provide MBBS degrees overseas, however countries like Russia, Georgia, and Moldova offer 6-year medical courses, whilst countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan offer 5-year MBBS degrees.
Kazakhstan is relatively close to India and provides a 5-year MBBS degree as per the New NMC guidelines in which all courses taught in English universities match to the Indian medical curriculum. As a result, Kazakhstan has become a hotspot for Indian students searching for MBBS abroad opportunities.
