The Department of Pediatrics is one of ten departments of the Faculty of Medicine No. 2, which employs two corresponding members of the ASM, 18 university professors, 57 physicians in medical sciences, and 65 university lecturers. Currently, over 1000 foreign students from 28 countries learn in English here, including Israel, Turkey, Russia, Germany, India, the United States, Romania, Bulgaria, Jordan, and others.
The Faculty of Medicine No. 2 was established in 2010 to arrange training in English-speaking groups and to document foreign citizens. Prof. Univ. Mihail Gavriliuc was the first dean of the faculty, and the vice-deans were Dr. Ludmila Perciuleac and Dr. Dumitru Casian.
